Effective Business Communication

Effective Business Communication: Summarize Learning

Effective business communication is vital, and there is no doubt about it. This reflection improved my understanding further because it has unveiled different other factors around it. It reveals that effectiveness in business communication is possible if it is active, interactive, two-way, oriented to the upward, and instant. These are some of the attributes of effective business communication learned through this discussion/reflection.

Along with the understanding of the characteristics of effective business communication, there are some key points. I have chosen three key points from the learning through this discussion. First, effectiveness in business communication should be the priority, and one should consider this perspective before him. Second, business communication should lead to more collaboration and interaction between participants. Otherwise, business communication cannot be valid. Third, technology can enhance effectiveness in business communication (Cardon, 2016). Therefore, it should be used. The application of these critical points must be there. For instance, I would give more importance to business communication tools and practices. For this purpose, I would ensure collaboration and interaction. The use of technology is favorable, and the use of social media can also play a vital role. In this manner, I would use the knowledge practically.

The knowledge gained through discussion has been helpful in my professional development. For instance, I would be able to see organizational steps for the promotion of business communication through a broader perspective. In so doing, I would be more engaged and collaborative. I would not focus on individual attainment and collaboration because communication must be two-way. These considerations would help me in professional development because I would consider these steps as assistance to the profession. Communication has practical features because it is inevitable. I would share and collaborate with others in the organization so that sharing of knowledge can be possible (Meloncon, 2017).
