My name is………..I studied the equivalent of GCSE’s from Nigeria before I permanently moved to the United Kingdom for higher studies and decided to get admission in the University—————
Applying for the Course
I am interested in Masters in Adult Nursing discipline and have prior knowledge of the field practically as well. I have always preferred to be almost involved because it is an effective way of learning. I have to get a part-time job to bear my educational expenses. I believe that a good learner takes a comprehensive approach in life. A person earning money to support tuition fees and eager to learn practical knowledge has a higher level of opportunities for growth and progress. Furthermore, a job to make money helps a person to adapt to a situation fast and conveniently. In this context, I would like to share my experience in the field in which I want to have further studies.
Interest in the Subject
I have been associated with the health and social sector, along with my regular studies. I have been doing the role as Case Assistant for the past three years. Under this role, I assist them in using services under the personal care and meet their daily objectives of well-being. I also have the experience of looking after young people, which is a sensitive segment in the health and social sector. My dedication to my role as a Care Assistant has helped me to render such high-level services to aggrieved segments. My aptitude to learn new things can be viewed as getting excellence in lab techniques. I have worked in a lab setting to measure or prepare samples. Some examples of activities conducted in the lab include sample preparation for ELISA, calibrating samples with a spectrophotometer, and sample preparation for PCR.
Suitability and Skills
I am suitable for the health and the social sector field, and Master’s Degree in adult nursing would enrich me further. I have a good sense of humour and fun that can assist people with health concerns. I am reliable, active, healthy and excellent at teamwork. In a short period, I have achieved many experiences because of my punctuality and organized behaviour. When necessary, I have never hesitated to work for hours without a timetable. My education record is also good with practical experience.
Relating with Previous Records
I did a BSc with Honours in biological science and got a Higher National Certificate in Health and Social Care from Barnfield College in 2015-2016. From a similar institution, I got access to a Higher Education Diploma in Health and Social Care in 2014-15. I spent time preparing for Higher Education in Health and Social Care from 2013 to 2014. In Nigeria, I got GCSE A-Level qualification from Egba Grammar School.
Participation in Voluntary Work
I have taken an active part in many voluntary activities. I always liked to work for my community and associate with different organizations, which intend to meet the basic health needs of people. At the school level, I participated in different free health camps.
My academic record, experiences, and personal attributes motivate and encourage me towards further growth and achievement in the same field of health and social sector. Now, I have moved permanently to the UK and dedicated to excelling in the chosen field. I look forward to your kind consideration and opportunity from you to prove myself.
Skills and Achievements
Communication and interpersonal skills are in the limelight, which can help me on the course. In the case of accredited and non-accredited achievements, these skills can help me to evolve with time in the University. Based on communication skills, I can build arguments and convey my ideas regarding the subject.
Proud Achievements
I was a team leader in the school. I had to lead a whole team in a voluntary health project, conducted by a local organization. Based on my skills and abilities, the school management picked me as a team leader. I worked incredibly, and it was appreciated as well. It was a proud achievement for me.
