MGT502 Business Communication: Exemplary Business Presentation

Introduction

My name is XYZ, graduating of a well-recognized university. I intend to come up with a sales pitch or progress report of an organization, which recently used Facebook as a sales channel. In the contemporary business era, organizations always intend to use both traditional and social media channels to enhance the visibility of attraction and positioning. Social media campaigns must be associated with modern traits to make it compelling for customers. In this particular presentation, the emphasis is on Amazon Company, which has used Facebook as a potential media Chanel to enhance attraction, positioning, and sales. The purpose is to learn several sales and communication skills by using the example of an organization.

What does an exemplary business presentation look like?

Exemplary business presentation is not fictional work, as the presenter does not have to tell a story to the audience. The presentation must be realistic and straightforward. The most important thing for me is not to overwhelm a lot of points, as it should be straight forward.  Being a presenter, I have to know or recognize my stuff, as I must know what I am trying to convey. For instance, if I am examining Amazon regarding its sales on Facebook, I have to be to the point. The exemplary business presentation does not contain everything on slides, as the audience has to derive multiple meanings or interpretations.

Which characteristics make it effective?

One of the central business characteristics of the business presentation is that it contains goals or objectives initially. In this particular presentation, I have to show my credibility and come up with some crucial goals to set the foundation.  The effective presentation always contains supporting material liberally. The presentation may have direct quotations and compelling images to make the whole content appealing and meaningful. One of the primary characteristics is that it contains starling statements and provoking questions. The business presentation is always complete, as it covers all necessary points which meet the goal identified earlier in slides.

How does the effectiveness of the presentation affect the outcome?

The effectiveness of the presentation affects the outcome due to its characteristics. If the presenter presents Amazon’s sales on Facebook effectively, the audience or target people can understand the whole functionality. An effective business presentation is result-oriented because it always helps to convey things through proper illustrations and examples. If there is a need to illustrate Amazon’s communication process, the presentation will include all key stakeholders, which are included in this communication process. It is all about understanding or portraying the whole system or procedure on these social media channels, and it makes it result-oriented (Theriault, 2013).

How can the use of technology improve business communication?

Amazon is using Facebook to enhance customer interaction and sales. The use of technology, such as big data, has helped the company management to derive valuable insights and shape Facebook ads accordingly. These Facebook ads are triggered by Amazon product listing on its official platforms. Thus, hyperlink is one of the best techniques which have been used by Amazon on Facebook to make people customers. The effective use of technology, such as big data, has been justified, as the company only uses valuable or targeted information or data to make decisions regarding sales and communication (Matta, 2019).

In a business environment, when would you likely use business presentation skills?

In the business environment, I would like to use business presentation skills to make the message compelling and meaningful. I like to use presentation skills when I have to use social media channels such as Facebook to enhance customer attraction. If a customer wants to get information regarding the Amazon product, the presentation will uncover the whole procedure or practice or social media communication. For instance, from customer queries to access to Amazon product listing, the entire process will be addressed in the presentation by using adequate skills or characteristics discussed above (Amazon PPC, 2020).

What is the primary outcome(s) of your presentation?

The main conclusion of the presentation is that the presentation had the potential to paint a picture in the audience’s mind. For instance, at the end of the presentation, the audience has learned how Amazon uses social media traits and techniques to shape ads for customers. After navigating or reviewing this presentation, the audience can understand how they could get access to Amazon Company or its product listing by viewing or navigating Facebook ads (Pruchinski, 2019). With the perspective of business, presentation sets the foundation for the learning journey regarding business communication.

Conclusion

In the end, it is to presume that the Amazon Company has the potential to use business communication technologies and social media channels.  In this extensive presentation, the strategic intent regarding marketing communication is demonstrated along with some examples of techniques and Facebook ads. Business or marketing graduates can derive man insights regarding the business or marketing communication and sales process. Some changes in the presentation can be made if Amazon changes the communication strategy on social media change. It was a compelling progress report, which is concluded by examining the current approach on the social media platform.
