Lesson plan: Preschool Free Play Program for kids

The stimulus used:

I wanted to conduct a Preschool Free Play Program for kids

Key questions:

How does The Preschool Free Play Program create a positive impact on multicultural education and help to avoid stereotypes?

The activity:

The preschool free play program includes many activities for kids. The main activities in this program are dressing up in different ways. Understanding different cultures through different dress codes is a useful activity which is to be associated with multicultural education and stereotypes. Being a pre-school teacher, I have to maintain diversity in the class. Kids will come from different cultural backgrounds, and I have to manage equally when conducting these activities. For instance, the Pre-School free play program is triggered by multicultural theory. According to multicultural theory, all psychology emerges in a particular cultural framework or society. It is a fact that every culture indicates some strengths and weaknesses (Oikonomidoy, 2002).

Lesson Plan

This program or activity will help to streamline the strengths of all cultures and create a new environment or society for kids. The most important thing is to change the psyche of kids, who come from a different culture. Multicultural awareness and self-esteem are part of the lesson plan. For Instance, the multicultural theory will be justified when a black kid wears a typical African American dress. On the contrary, Muslim students will wear Shalwar Kameez. Americans will be in the suit. Interestingly, differences or divisions in Muslim culture can be depicted by different dresses. Students from Saudia Arabia can wear their typical national dress. Remarkably, it is to be used in the educational process, especially in pre-school activities. Equal opportunities to show skills and growth for all students will also justify equality. Effective implementation of multicultural theory can help to create the culture of togetherness. Kids coming from different cultures will be working or playing in different teams. The activity promotes equality. Equality theory depicts that people are motivated through fairness (Weishart, 2014). For Instance, kids are to be treated fairly in this program or activity, which can drive them to show their strengths and promote their growth. Fairness is one of the primary elements in this program, which can bring equality and teach kids how to work or play together to achieve something decided/chosen. Stereotypes are to be evaded. Kids will be used randomly in different teams. Mutual goals and communication can help to maintain or reduce the impact of diversity. This multicultural activity is a part of the lesson plan, which can help to teach diversity and acceptance of different ethnic backgrounds

The rationale:

The rationale of conducting this pre-school activity is to bring equality and prepare students for early education in the educational institution. Recognizing through dress code can help to know people, their values, and traditions. I want to create a diverse culture or society through this program, which can change the behaviors of kids. For Instance, I want to make a group of students, which can achieve goals without any cultural intervention. Dress code is open for every kid, and without having cultural differences, opportunities are to be availed. It seems rapid growth of kids, and the activity can be improved with time.
