My understanding of the above skills is that the company wants to have an individual who has the above soft skills in abundance. For instance, it wants to have a person who is confident, practical, and ambitious, learned, and flexible, has leadership abilities, is a team player, and has extraordinary communication and reporting skills.
- Computer skills (Oracle, TM1, Advanced Excel, Sage Software, Hyperion Planning Tool, and Power BI, MS Office, enterprise Systems, APS, Xero and the MYOB suite, IBM Cognos and Peoplesoft)
In my understanding, not all of these technical expertise could be found in one individual. For me, I think companies are looking for individuals who are tech-savvy and can easily and immediately learn the software’s and new systems, even if they have no prior working knowledge. However, having a basic knowledge of MS OFFICE, EXCEL and some of the systems, like SAP is essential.
